Iconduit Launches Newly Redesigned Website for David Hasselhoff

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Iconduit is proud to announce the launch of the newly redesigned DavidHasselhoff.com.

Harnessing the power of user-generated content within David Hasselhoff’s large fanbase, Iconduit, in conjunction with a few of David’s biggest fans, has created a website where fans of David’s are able to join, create profiles, interact, and discuss all things Hasselhoff. As a matter of fact, David is using feedback from his fans on the website in order to determine where he should take his act next!

Already with over 21,500 members in the site, David’s presence in the New Media world continues to grow daily, and because Iconduit firmly believes that our work in the New Media world is never done, we will constantly be searching for ways in which we can improve David’s site, and the content within.

The Hoff: When Scott Came To Stay

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Iconduit has successfully transitioned David Hasselhoff’s video blog onto television screens around the world. Scott Mills, the leading DJ on the UK’s BBC Radio 1, was entertained by David’s ground-breaking social networking site HoffSpace and mentioned it on air. Careful traffic monitoring ensured that Iconduit noticed this upsurge in traffic and worked to develop this relationship.

David subsequently appeared on Scott’s show and rekindled a relationship that had begun when Scott had pushed David’s song Jump In My Car to #3 in the UK charts. When Scott was coming to LA, he wanted to hang out with David, so he called Joe Townley, Iconduit’s creative director, who organised a wild night on the town for Scott with David, on the condition that it would be filmed and appear on HoffSpace. TV producers from Summer Films and Living TV in London saw the footage and thought it would make an excellent TV show.

Having helped create the original, Joe was brought in as a producer and, after a very intensive weekend of filming that involved wild partying in Vegas, private jets, jet skis, barbecues and an amazing performance by David’s daughters, The Hoff: When Scott Came To Stay was created. It will air on April 6th on Living TV in the UK.

He heads up the Ogilvy 360 Digital Influence team, which is committed to bringing their clients the best and most innovative Marketing and PR strategies to be found. John Bell is recognized as an expert on social marketing and is an adjunct professor at Hopkins University. In his July 6, 2008 blog entry, he had nothing but praise for Iconduit and HoffSpace:

“This is a great example of a performer taking the bull by the horns and managing their ‘brand.’ I don’t know how much credit to give to David or to the company that discreetly advertises on the site - iconduit - as a media agency for iconic talent, which David definitely qualifies for.”

Iconduit’s Hoffspace Hailed as “. . .a smart move.”

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

The launch of www.davidhasselhoff.com, Iconduit’s new social networking site devoted to superstar David Hasselhoff and his fans, has attracted considerable attention.  It is one of the first social networking sites dedicated solely to a specific interest group and constructed for that purpose.

“The Hoff has effectively put economists, physicists, his fellow acting community and world-class athletes to shame by hatching this ingenious idea for a forum — a ’social networking’ site — where fans of Himself can congregate to exchange Hoff stories, share varying degrees of Hoff-mania and, under the rubric of a love for all things Hasselhoffian, ‘make the world a better place,’” says Liz Kelly at the Washington Post.

With over ten thousand of users in its first few weeks, the sky is the limit for HoffSpace.
